Peer tutoring is one of the services MUSA offers to help in the learning pr ocess and is made possible by those who volunteer their time, knowledge, and experience. The first year at University is always the most challenging, especially if you have had little or no experience in the areas of Musicianship, Music History, and Theory. Need a tutor? The process is easy – fill out the “tutee” form (offered in both French and English) found on the “Forms” page and drop off the completed form to the MUSA office. The process is the same for those looking to volunteer as tutors. If you enjoy teaching or plan on teaching in the future, the MUSA peer tutoring program is a great way to start. It does not require much time per week and since you have already taken the courses, the questions you are asked will only help to refresh previously learned information. You can record your hours tutored and use the experience to put on your CV. Please refer to the application forms for more details. This tutoring service is offered only to those who are students of the Schulich School of Music. |
