Schulich School of Music Outstanding Teaching Assistant / Graduate Instructor Award
One prize of $500 will be awarded annually at the Spring convocation.
Eligibility Nominated candidates must be Teaching Assistants or Graduate Instructors hired by the Schulich School of Music. Candidates must have taught in the 2009-2010 academic year.
Description The Schulich School of Music recognises excellence, commitment and innovation on the part of Teaching Assistants and Graduate Instructors, and the important role that they play in the academic experience of undergraduate students in the School.
Criteria A nominee must have demonstrated superior teaching skills and provided superior service to students, beyond his/her duties. Such activities can include:
Nomination Procedure Undergraduate, Artist Diploma or Licentiate students of the Schulich School of Music must submit a completed Nomination Form to the M.U.S.A. office (E-104) by Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 5:00 p.m. If multiple students wish to nominate their Teaching Assistant/Graduate Instructor together, they may indicate this on the form. After receiving all of the nominations, the M.U.S.A. will notify all nominees, who will then submit a Statement of Teaching Approach and a letter of reference from their supervising professor by Monday, March 15, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
